from Atlanta, Georgia to be with the Sporthotel family--we just returned from the Sporthotel last month (13-20 Sept) and want to share our exceptional
Sporthotel week with TripAdvisor readers. As you walk in the Sporthotel's hand carved front door, Margherita warmly welcomes you to the Sporthotel and effortlessly checks you in for your weekly Sporthotel stay. We can't wait to see and experience Waltrud's warm smile, gracious hospitality, and attention to every detail--helping to make our Sporthotel stay extraordinarily delightful. We also can't wait to see Albert's "stay young attitude" and enjoy his special vitamina energy drink during our lunch pause during the weekly, specially designed/escorted "Wanderung mit Albert." Albert is also your host for the weekly barbecue where he pours endless champagne, and red wine matched with delicious perfectly grilled meats followed by Albert's special homemade grappa or homemade lemon cello. And, finally, we love to see Michael's all around super friendly nature, bright smile and savor his perfectly matched wine pairings in the evening with our daily six course Italian dinner. For an extra special exercise treat, be sure to go on Michael's personally designed mountain bike tour to experience up close the stunning beauty of the craggy Dolomite's \. Plus, Michael freely shares his rich, personal knowledge of Corvara/Tyrolean culture. The majestic/fantastic hiking out the front door of the Sporthotel is "World Class" and will challenge the beginner to expert hiker. After four-six hours of demanding & gorgeous Dolomiti hiking you blissfully return to the Sporthotel Wellness Oasis to ease in the huge jacuzzi to sooth your tired muscles. Then you have to make a difficult sauna decision--which one of the four different saunas/steambath (Finnish sauna, the Turkish steam bath, the crystal sauna, the hay shed sauna, or the infrared sauna) to start with and begin to melt your blissful Dolomiti hiking fatigue quickly away. Now, it is time for the Sporthotel's Relaxation room and it's majestic Panorama view--the perfect place to catch up on your favorite book. Reinvigorated, it is time now to swim many laps in the indoor pool before you begin the wellness routine all over again. As a gustatory bonus, you get the most delicious, best 5 Star food in all of Europe prepared by Chef Mirko and served with panache by the Sporthotel server team (Rosita, Thomas, Anna). Be sure to head for the Sporthotel Bar after your wonderful dinner and enjoy a special after dinner drink made just for your by Albert or Michael. My bride and I have gone over a dozen times to the Sporthotel over the last 25 years. We went to the Sporthotel (in the winter) almost every year (of the 10 years) we were stationed with the Army in Germany/Europe. Now that I am retired and living in the US..it is indeed, a very special, annual treat to visit Michael, Waltrud, Albert, the Sporthotel team and the Dolomites. Also, if you go during the last two weeks of their summer season, they give you a 10% discount if you are over 50.

Sehr schönes Hotel in Top Lage oberhalb von Corvara. Die Gastgeber - Michael Costamoling und seine Eltern -sind immer präsent und verwöhnen ihre Gäste auf hohem Niveau mit sehr viel Charme und Herzlichkeit. Wir konnten während unseres Kurzaufenthaltes von 3 Nächten einen Sektempfang mit kleinem Vorspeisen-Buffet in der Hotelhalle miterleben. Dies war eine nette Überraschung für uns.

Das Hallenbad ist sehr schön und besitzt meiner Meinung nach die richtige Größe für das Hotel. Toll ist die Liegefläche im Garten. Die Saunalandschaft ist durchdacht, sehr stilvoll und gut gelungen. Wir haben die Heuschupfensauna und die tollen Liegen im Ruheraum genutzt. Wirklich super zum Entspannen nach einem Tag auf dem Rennrad.

Wir waren wie viele andere Gäste Teilnehmer des "Maratona dles Dolomites". Unseren Kurzaufenthalt haben wir sehr genossen und hoffen, die Gelegenheit zu haben, bald wieder zu kommen. Das Hotel liegt einfach optimal, um mit dem Rennrad die bekannten Pässe der Dolomiten zu befahren.

Das Hotel liegt oberhalb von Corvara - wenige min. vom Zentrum und ist für uns ein optimaler Ausgangspunkt für sportliche Aktivitäten (in unserem Fall Rennrad Touren) im Sommer. Im Winter kann man direkt vor dem Hotel einen Lift benützen und in die bekannte Sella Ronda einsteigen.

Alle sind sehr freundlich. Michael Costamoling steht den Gästen während des Abendessens selbst für Weinempfehlungen zur Verfügung. Das ist super, denn die Auswahl an Top-Weinen ist RIESENGROSS.

Die Mitarbeiter im Restaurant sind gut geschult und freundlich.

Das Frühstücksbuffet hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Am Morgen d. "Maratona" gabs ab 05:00 Uhr Frühstück (auch Nudeln waren am Buffet). Sicher bei so einem Event wird das erwartet - trotzdem möchte ich es lobend erwähnen.
Das Abendessen war geschmacklich sehr gut. Ich persönlich hätte mich über mehr Auswahl bei den Hauptgerichten gefreut. Ich esse nicht so gern Fleisch oder besser gesagt nicht jeden Tag und hätte mich über eine Nudelgericht oder Gnocchi gefreut.

Einmal haben wir zu Mittag auf der schönen Sonnenterrasse gegessen. Die Auswahl auf der Mittagskarte war gut - wir waren nach einer Radtour richtig heiß auf Spaghetti und Penne! Die Vorspeise - Südtiroler Speck mit Pilzen, Käse und Ruccola ist sehr zu empfehlen ... es war richtig gemütlich.
Wir haben allerdings sehr lange gewartet bis uns die Service-Mitarbeiterin Karten gebracht hat und wir die Getränke bestellen durften. Der Durst war sehr groß ;-)) Keine Ahnung, was mit ihr los war - sie wirkte ansonsten recht kompetent.

Also zusammenfassend: die Küche im Sporthotel Panorama ist sehr gut!

Hallenbad - sehr schön, Saunalandschaft - super, es sind Tennisplätze vorhanden - wir hatten leider keine Zeit sie zu nutzen.

Das Zimmer war für uns optimal. Unseres war aus Zirbenholz (guter Duft), sauber und es bot für uns zwei ausreichend Platz im Schrank, Garderobe und auf dem Balkon. Besonders das große Badezimmer mit Whirlwanne, Dusche und Doppelwaschbecken hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Für Sportler, die gerne gut Essen und Trinken, sowie Wellness genießen ist das Panorama eine super Adresse. Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, nette Mitarbeiter, eine besonders herzliche Bewirtung durch die Gastgeber, traumhafte Aussicht ...
Mein Tipp zum Schluss: auf jeden Fall einen Lagrein Dunkel Reserva zum Abendessen und den Südtiroler Speck mit Pilzen und Käse zu Mittag auf der Terrasse genießen!

for a quick shower before your newfound energy allows you to swim many laps in the refreshing indoor pool...We have gone to the Sporthotel since 1985 while stationed with the Army in
Europe. Now that I am retired and living in the US..it is a very special annual treat to

La famiglia Costamoling, che gestisce da anni questo bell'albergo, vanta un piccolo primato. I clienti sono cosi' affezionati alla loro gestione che tornano immancabilmente di anno in anno, e si ritrovano come in famiglia anche a distanza di venti anni e piu'.
Il motivo e' semplice: raramente capita di essere in un albergo cosi' bello ed attrezzato e sentirsi ugualmente coccolati e senguiti individualmente, come se si fosse gli unici clienti presenti. Le attenzioni ricevute, le meravigliose sale comuni, la strepitosa cucina, gli indimenticabili aperitivi in taverna o sala caminetto, la strepitosa wellness fanno di questo albergo un vero gioiello. E' vero, l'hotel ha senza dubbio vissuto giorni migliori in passato, e certe stanze hanno un sapore un po' vintage nelle loro mattonelle marroni anni 70 (anche l'esterno e' un po' annerito), ma nulla toglie al fascino di quello che viene proposto. Alberghi a parita' di lusso ed eleganza non possono competere con l'ospitalita' e la familiarita' che si ricevono durante il vostro soggiorno. Un'esperienza splendida, che speriamo di ripetere al piu' presto...

Absolutely recommendable

Christian thought that Panorama Sporthotel & Dep. in Corvara was kept very clean. Checking-in was a cinch! The hotel´s staff handled complaints perfectly. Eating there was a complete pleasure for the reviewer. All the great food and beverage choices were impressive. The children's entertainment and care program was above average. The bathroom in Panorama Sporthotel & Dep. was super.
